Good day all! I hope that you’re keeping warm today, although I know that there are some who are not. People are dying, right now because they don’t have access to an energy source that can help them manage the, “Climate,” they find themselves in. You may say during these cold times we’re in a “climate emergency,” insofar as the climate, (-40’s) is trying to kill us. In some cases, it’s succeeding. This is why I say that the weather outside is frightful, almost as frightful as we are.
Human beings are promoting or participating in, policy and actions that harm us. We, to some extent, have started pushing back against that because as the price of everything goes up reality rears it’s ugly head in the form of sky-high utility bills and cost of living increases. It’s hard to advocate for anti-human, ideological policy when the results strip away your wealth and prosperity right?
Wrong. In some cases that very thing that should smack people back to reality is the very thing used to convince us to vote for more of the same! For instance, the New Democratic Party of Canada has a campaign attacking Capitalists including grocery store owners. The propaganda is that successful capitalists have money, and the poor senior who can’t afford their sky-high gas bill does not, so it must be the capitalists’ fault and therefore they must re-distribute their wealth to the seniors through taxation. The truth is, of course, much harder to accept- We have allowed government to become bloated. We’ve allowed this behemoth of waste and corruption to thrive in the legislatures and parliament to the point where it is THEM directing us, rather than us directing them. People have forgotten that the Government is supposed to reflect the will of the people, not impose their will ON the people. As a result, we have policies imposed on us that increase our cost of living to the point of choosing between groceries and heat. If you think for a moment about the benefits afforded to humanity through capitalistic endeavour you will quickly realize that it has always been capitalism that advanced prosperity and human flourishing, not bureaucracy. It is not a capitalism problem, it’s a bureaucracy problem.
This isn’t the only case of us being frightful. Let’s look at the events of the last 4 years. The entire world was wrapped up in a fearful pursuit of ridiculous policy, mandates and restrictions to eliminate a virus- at all costs. The costs were tremendous and did not achieve the intended result. On a side note, we did point out the fallacy of the mandates and restrictions in the first few weeks, but again, I digress. People were convinced to act based on bad information. Misinformation. Disinformation. It cost lives and livelihoods. Society was encouraged to participate in a type of medical apartheid, where one group could not expect to sit next to the other on a plane, or a train, or a bus. We witnessed a Prime Minister refer to Canadians as a “small fringe minority with unacceptable views.” If people had thought more critically about the situation, then their actions would have been different, and the world would be a better place.
People can be frightful.
The main reason that people supported and followed me throughout my journey and battle against the government was that they were happy to see someone pointing out reality and speaking up against the pursuit of fallacy. I tend to do that a lot in my life, but in this case, it just became more public. I continue to do this in other areas as well. Recently I’ve been slammed with people sending me videos and pictures that they think support the idea that airplanes leaving lines in the sky are actually spreading dangerous chemicals on us and that the pilots are complicit evil bastards. I’ve seen posts condemning pilots to hell, saying they should be jailed etc- all because their airplanes leave a trail of vapor in the sky. I pointed out the fallacy in this thinking and was viciously persecuted for it.
To be fair, I am a bit of an asshole sometimes and I made a satire video pointing out the fact that people will believe anything they see on the internet which hurt people’s feelings. They got mad at me because of that, and I replied, “if you want to be mad at someone then be mad at yourself. It was you who failed to think critically about what you saw, you based your actions on that fallacy, and now you’re saying pilots are evil bastards.” I guess some people did not follow me because they appreciated my logical view of the world and my desire for real truth. Maybe some people just followed me because they liked my hair. Maybe I should be the PM?
These videos and memes I get sent, (daily, a complete barrage!) are evidence that someone is making a great effort to convince people to believe something that is not true. I can debate, debunk, easily disprove most if not all of the, “evidence,” that I’m sent daily, but that just gets me in more hot water with some people. People, (some,) want to believe all of those things are true because that supports their feeling that all government is evil. They are willing to believe anything that supports their pre-conceived bias, so much that they will cast aside even those who they claimed were their heroes simply because they don’t believe the same things as them.
People can be frightful.
We just went through a time where we were lied to, then some people pointed it out and others threw mud at them like we haven’t seen in years. Society is dividing itself over polarizing issues that should not impact our desire to work together to flourish as a species. EVERYTHING is a divisive end of the world type scenario, right down to insane things like how many genders there are. We witnessed this firsthand, recently. And yet, even those of us who are apparently on the HUMAN side of the Human/Anti-Human debate are willing to cast each other aside because we don’t share the same religious views.
People can be really frightful
Throughout all of this craziness I’ve learned something very important. Stay true to yourself, even if that means standing alone. I can tell you with 100% certainty that I really, truly want to do what I can to improve this province, and this country, I want to leave the world a better place than I found it. When I’m gone, I would like my kids to remember that I did everything I could to ensure they could prosper. I will continue to do the same thing that I did in January 2021 that encouraged people to come with me- I’ll call out BS when I see it and I won’t back down even when staring down the barrel of Government. I won’t back down from those on “our side,” either.
And I will NOT apologize for that, ever.
